LEISA MARIE, ARTIST
My artistic process lives at the intersection of healing and human connection. Rooted in four generations of creative lineage, informed by a Master’s degree in Graphic Communication and a trauma-informed practice, I create art not simply as expression — but as a way to support the healing of myself and others.
After a 30-year career in corporate branding, I found myself carrying the weight of mounting stress, anxiety, depression, and re-emerging PTSD triggers. I had all the right tools — a trusted counsellor, weightlifting, family, friends — but the darkness still loomed. Then came a quiet, persistent calling: paint. The moment I finally listened — kicked off my shoes, put brush to paper — something shifted. My depression began to melt away. The creative process became more than just a pastime; it became a profound and necessary way of caring for my own spirit. That experience reshaped my path. I’ve since dedicated myself to helping others discover the healing potential of art — whether through therapeutic art experiences, commissioned works, or intimate creative gatherings.

While offering therapeutic art learning experiences in Correctional facilities, I’ve witnessed first-hand how powerful even small moments of connection and creation can be. People have shared with me — sometimes quietly, sometimes through brave tears — that when their depression is so deep they don’t even want to face the day, using their hands to paint and create breathes new life into their confidence. It exchanges anxiety for fulfillment and pride in creating, calming the nervous system, leaving a positive mindset to take on new skills and well-being initiatives. Art has an extraordinary ability to bring healing into dark places.
I’m endlessly inspired by the complexities of what it means to be seen — the vulnerability of revealing and protecting ourselves — and how shared creative experiences reshape who we are becoming. Through every offering, I bring humility, insight, and deep respect for those who graciously trust me with their stories. Thank you for welcoming my art into your soul and space, and allowing me to be part of your journey. I invite you to let your wonder run wild — and to find your liberty through art and human connection.
commissioned art
A one-of-a-kind piece, created just for you.

A commissioned painting is a deeply personal collaboration — an opportunity to bring a unique story, feeling, or space to life through art. Whether you’re marking a meaningful moment, honouring a loved one, or simply wishing to fill your home with something that speaks to your soul, I listen to your story and create a piece that feels entirely your own.
Each painting begins with a conversation, where we explore your vision, your space, and the emotions or ideas you’d like the work to carry. From there, I’ll guide you through the process — selecting size, palette, and mood — and keep you updated as the piece unfolds.
No two commissions are alike, and I approach each one with care, intuition, and deep respect for the trust you place in me.
The Details
- Commissions require a minimum of 4 weeks to complete
- Pricing starts at $1000 and depends on size and complexity
- Each piece includes a short written story of its inspiration and the song or playlist that accompanied its creation.
If you’re ready to bring your vision to life — I would be honored to create something just for you.
